Throughout history, a battle has raged between two sides of the same coin - humans and vampires. But by chance, a mere coin flip of a billion strands of DNA fell into just the right place when a pregnant woman was bitten by a vampire. She gave birth to a half-vampire, half-human child. Unlike other vampires, this child could survive the sun's rays.

Under the guidance of a mentor, the child grew up hunting the vampires that had taken his mother. He became a hero that would shake the status quo.
