From the recording DAYWALKER The Musical
Blade smashes through a window into Frost’s office demanding his mother. Blade expresses respect for Frost’s commitment to his plan but promises to end it.
Lyrics
BLADE
Where's my mother??!!
FROST
That's so boring. Can we start somewhere else? Don't you want to know where I found her or why she didn't find you?!
BLADE
All I want to know is where is she!? But...I'll admit, it's impressive. The sheer vastness of your plan. The intricate complexity. Playing with people's lives like they're puppets---
FROST
Marionettes, actually.
BLADE
Same difference.
FROST
No, marionettes are specifically manipulated by strings. The threads can intertwine. It's a much more elegant metaphor.
BLADE
Wow dude, learn to take a compliment. As I was saying, the La Magra revelation was a real coup de gras -- I can understand why you're gloating. What'd that take? Five years? You made a big bet and it paid off.
FROST
I didn't realize you had the wit to appreciate it. It certainly makes this game we're playing more "fun"!!!
BLADE
I would have thought that one of these three hundred year old vampires would have figured out how to translate those old manuscripts first, but they're resting on their laurels, sitting in their castles, letting the underlings battle it out.
FROST
It was mostly manual labor, but certainly some artistic flair and clever observations that those antiques couldn't figure out any more than the latest Wordle!
BLADE
I haven't done it yet.
FROST
It was SCENT! S-C-E-
BLADE
Hey! You son of a -- I only came for my mother but you just put the nail in your coffin!
